CHICAGO, IL—Guerrero’s flagship publication Hispanic Executive published its tenth annual Leading Latinas issue, and the featured story is none other than United States Vice President Kamala Harris.
The annual Leading Latinas issue highlights a group of women who are at the top of their game and igniting real change. While the vice president may not be Latina, her personal story and family history embodies the American Dream and showcases what immigrants in this country and their close descendants can achieve.
The Hispanic Executive team was granted close access to the vice president. Guerrero CEO and Publisher Pedro A. Guerrero personally met and spoke with the vice president on Air Force Two accompanied by Guerrero Head of Audience and Engagement and Hispanic Division Vice President Vianni Lubus and Guerrero Photo Manager and Video Director Cass Davis.
In addition to her cover story, Harris was a recent guest on The New Majority podcast.
“In my view, Vice President Harris is a worthy emblem of our multicultural American Dream, and her strength of character and courage has brought us closer to a future where a Latina (or Hispanic, Latino, Latinx, Latine, etc.) president is possible,” Hispanic Executive Managing Editor Michele Cantos wrote in the Leading Latinas editorial letter.
The milestone cover and feature story comes as Guerrero celebrates its seventeenth anniversary. Guerrero was founded in 2006 with the mission to recognize and promote diverse leadership and has since grown to five print publications, two networks, a podcast, and an executive search firm.
